How do I store maple syrup after it has been opened?

Place it in a sealed container inside your refrigerator and it should last for up to six months.


What is the shelf life on your maple products?

Our maple syrup is hot packed directly into containers and will last up to 2 years if left unopened. Maple candy is crystal coated which extends the shelf life up to 3 months. Stirred sugar will remain fresh for 5 years. We recommend keeping these products in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight.

Maple butter will last up to nine months. It is ideal to keep it in your refrigerator to prevent separation, but if this occurs simply stir together until you reach the desired texture.


What are the different grades of maple syrup available?

Our most popular maple syrup grade is Amber, which has a rich maple flavour and is most commonly used as a table syrup for pancakes, oatmeal, waffles, cereal, etc. Dark syrup has a stronger flavour that is best used for cooking and baking. Golden is the lightest grade of syrup with the most delicate flavour, so we use this to make stirred sugar, maple candy, and maple butter. All of our products are manufactured in our federally licensed CFIA inspected facility, and we strive to maintain the highest level of food safety standards during the manufacturing process.
